Bullying Does Not Discriminate

Speaking Out

When we use our voices, we empower not only ourselves, but also everyone else who hears our words. Our voices can cross borders to reach people all over the world.

World-wide campaign

I created "Bullying Does Not Discriminate"- a multi-lingual, all-inclusive campaign to raise awareness that no matter your age, gender, or where you live - we are all touched by bullying in some way. I also wanted to show "you are not alone."

To date, this video campaign has been viewed by over 8,000 people in 4 months! ( Video can be viewed at the top of this page.)

YouTube

I introduced my YouTube channel with the intentions to share bully prevention tips, interviews, and inspire ideas to get involved with the community. Please visit here

Partnerships

Creating a solid network is important to help reach people all over the world. Especially when it comes to a world-wide issue such as bullying. I have worked hard to establish both national and international relationships that allow me to help our youth as well as the adult population.

International Partnerships:

  • International Bullying Prevention Association
  • International Association on Workplace Bullying & Harassment.

These memberships allow me to stay current and up-to-date with the best researched based solutions for bullying in schools as well as in the workplace. I am able to collaborate with other professionals all over the world to unite and make a difference when it comes to adults specifically.

National Partnerships:

  • PACER's National Bullying Prevention Center
  • The Rainbow Rabbit Organization

I currently and actively collaborate with PACER's & The Rainbow Rabbit Organization to reach very young children up to teens. Both organizations provide a number of resources that allow me to address a younger demographic when I visit schools and youth groups. I believe we need to start young!

Imagine being verbally abused, regulary humilated, broken in spirit and suffering in silence - this was me. Every day. At work! 1 out of 6 adults suffer from workplace bullying. It is estimated that over 200 million people are effected by bullying daily. This is a world-wide issue that needs much more attention. Young people are taking their lives because of bullying. People are suffering both mentally and physically from this harsh behavior. Being a target of bullying gets in the way of being the people we are meant to be in this world. No matter your age, your gender or where you live, #BullyingDoesNotDiscriminate.

Education is Key

Realizing that education and awareness are so important when it comes to bully prevention for both adults and children I have:

  • Developed an App in 2016

The app KINDNESS CROSSING BORDERS provides resources, tips and facts that can be accessed by anyone anywhere- all over the world in the privacy of your own home.

  • Developed an international educational program!

PACER's National Bullying Prevention Center has agreed to partner with me as we present an educational program that will bridge the gap between cultural differences between classrooms here in the US with classrooms over seas. This program will invite global discussions among our youth when it comes to bully prevention around the world. Coming soon in 2017!

  • Founded the nonprofit organization Be Kind. Make a Difference featuring the Kindness Crew dedicated to educating and inspiring change in the community!

Being a former target of bullying, finding your voice isn't always the easiest thing. I used to feel ashamed and embarrassed this all had happened to me, not only as a child but also as an adult?! Even worse! Since then, I have grown and continue to grow. I now see I have a very unique perspective to empower and inspire. Every day I try to come up with new and unique ways to make a difference, to show support, and to give people the tools they need to advocate for them selves and others.
